Film Club Extra (FCE) was dreamed up as a way of making contact with people who do not go to church, yet might be interested in the themes covered by movies. The organisers felt there may be some mileage in a Christian and a non-Christian movie lover communicating about the way they each made sense of the world. It hasn't really worked. What has developed is a sort of silver film club, mainly attracting church-going over 60s. The attendance has been falling recently.
Whilst delighted to encourage the older, Christian, movie-loving community to meet each other and discuss films, some of the organisers don't feel that is where our passions lie.
So. Should FCE continue? In what form? Anyone want to join the organising team? Comments welcome.
