The challenge to the audience at Cafe Create last week was to write a story, with a plot, in ten words or fewer, with an additional five words allowed for the title. Here are three of them:

- Homelessness
- Life
- Death
- Religious revival
- Speculation in real estate
- The protection of endangered species (the Gila woodpecker and the Saguaro cactus), and
- Murder (well, involuntary catslaughter really.)
Hunted woodpecker in the desert
Hallelujah - a cactus!
Excavate a home!
Running water!
Impaled cat!
